Abused Dog's Story Inspires Children's Book

A story of dog abuse that we reported on in 2009 sparked outrage. A dog with an electrical cord wrapped around his neck was left in a trash can to die. That story inspired an author to write a children's book about the dog's amazing recovery. Tommy the Throwaway Dog is a book written by Laura Marlowe to inspire children to treat animals with respect and love.
